To the Max!

Another Arizona Masters swimmer is featured in this month's issue of USMS Swimmer magazine! Max von Isser from Ford Aquatics is one of three friends from the New York area who are featured in The Greatest Generation article on page 26. All three were accomplished swimmers before WWII, all three served with distinction during their time in the military, and all three are still swim.

Read the article, then read it again. Their stories are amazing because they put their lives on hold to ensure future generations could live in freedom and enjoy the fruits of liberty. Today, we are able to enjoy our lives because of the sacrifices made by fellow swimmers from previous generations.

We are indeed blessed to have individuals like this in our midst. Not only did they serve their country during uncertain times, they inspire us today with their continuing exploits in the realm of swimming. Thank you Max!

Avoiding Vertical Butterfly

The latest issue of USMS Swimmer magazine contains an excellent article on swimming butterfly. On page 32, you will see Coach Simon Percy and Sue Jurek from Sun Devil Masters describing and demonstrating how to swim fly properly. All of us who swim fly could benefit from this article so read it when you have a chance.

Horay to both Simon and Sue for putting together an interesting and helpful article!
